After being a prisoner to prescription medication for high blood pressure for over 30 years, then statin drugs for cholesterol and finally diagnosed with onset Type 2 diabetes, I decided that enough was enough.
I realized that I needed some radical lifestyle changes to take control of my own health. After all, who knows me better than me? I searched for more natural healthy substitutes for my normal routine. I began to pay more attention to my own emotional, mental and spiritual health. Believe it or not, self-care is a very large portion of our overall wellbeing.
I'm now retired from a rat race that was filled with stress, bad eating, not enough sleep and other terrible habits that almost took my life. I lost over 30 lbs. and learned to control my blood pressure through natural means including adjustments in my eating habits, incorporating herbs into my daily regimen and dealing with stress in a positive manner. I went even further by learning to take the time to relax my mind, body and Spirit. After all, we can't pour anything into others if we have an empty cup!
So now it's my turn to give back. How? By sharing my story with those who have an ear to hear and a will to make a change. By telling mature adults (especially women 50+ years old) who may be in the same place in life that I was about the wonders of Mother Nature's gifts to us in the form of herbs and nourishing foods instead the processed junk products that are passed off as food.
On this website, I offer some of the same herbs and natural folk remedies that I use to stay free of prescription medications. I also offer my services as a Certified Master Life Coach to assist others along their journey. I can't heal anyone but I can offer some insight and encouragement to make the path a bit easier.
